Naz Sarkar selected as Labour’s candidate in Reading West

Posted on July 09, 2009 by Team Naz

I am delighted to have been chosen by the Reading West Labour party to succeed Martin Salter as their candidate at the next General Election.

Martin has done a fantastic job of representing the constituents of Reading over the last 12 years and being their voice in Westminster. He has given over 25 years of service to public life and has worked tirelessly through out that time. He is indeed a tough act to follow but I will give it my all.

I hope to use my knowledge of front line services as a Secondary school mathematics teacher to make sure that we have excellent public services in Reading, and will work hard to ensure that we secure investment in Reading to protect jobs and promote the local economy.

I look forward to working with community groups, businesses and residents in the time ahead.

Here’s a link to an interview I gave to the Newbury Today.
